Eymet is our nearest town (6km away) and is one of the region's medieval 'Bastide' towns, founded in 1270. The charming arcaded central square and medieval architecture makes it popular with locals and visitors alike.
Eymet's chateau is host to a range of festivals and concerts, including the 'Festival des Bastides' where actors perform in medieval dress.
The town's bustling markets, including farmers' markets and summer night markets are well renowned and certainly worth a visit. A full range of services and facilities including shops, cafes, bars and restaurants can also be found within the small town.
The Cave offers an excellent range of locally produced wines or why not taste (degustation) and buy direct from the vineyards..often with guided tours by life-long wine producers.
The River Dropt runs through the town and during the summer months it is possible to hire canoes and paddle along its course.
