Since our arrival at Le Peynau during the spring of 2007 we, and many of our guests, have been simply amazed by the wildlife and particularly the birds of prey that live around us...many on Le Peynau's grounds. Deer and wild boar habitate the woodland adjoining us and the deer can be spotted feeding amongst the neighbouring vines. We were lucky enough to have hoopoos, long-eared owls and hen harriers nesting here this year.
